This pic was taken after i poped the engine a few years back, the mods i had already done was to swap the gpx forks for a set of gpz forks i had laying around as the old ones were badly pitted and the springs were shot

After fitting a new engine I eventuly decided to change the style of the bike. this was my only transport so it had to be done in such a way that i can still use it while its changing.
the fisrst step was to remove all the ugly fairing. this ment it needed something to hold the headlight as standard its bloted to the fairing. i found a set of lights of an H1 so welded a bracket up to bolt them on. i also stuck some indicaters on the tank to keep it all leagle...ish

Hear i added the new set of forks a had from a h1, they went straight in using the same bearing as the gpx and even the post in the yokes didnt need to be changed. I could not believe the improvement in handling this made :D

My next major mod was to remove the rubish rear wheel and swing arm and replace with one a got for a 600 bandit. again the improvement in handleing was more than impressive. handles better than my dads h1 B)

At this stage i decide to lose the soggy rear suspension and make my own set up B) the idea is with 2 shocks mounted side by side in the rite place it will alow me to pass the exhaust pipe between the middle of them and out under the seet
