Hi Chiller I too have a zephyr 1100 A4 1996. just this minute finished fitting new seals and pads in rear caliper and changing engine oil and filter best wishes andy

I have a 750 C1 1992, unfortunately waiting for the tank to b silicone lined at present so off the road, but hopefully not for long just hope the winter ain't as bad as the summer !! |

I have a Zephyr 750, havent had it long and it needs some tweaking, i will be picking everyones brains soon cos it doesnt run quite right but it looks really smart and hope to have some fun this coming summer.....if we have one that is!

I just bought a 1991 750 Zephyr about 10 days ago. 10,500 miles, new Michelins, new gell battery, oil, etc - $2400. I'd like to stiffen the forks - maybe go with Progressive springs. Just getting used to the short wheelbase (compared to my last bike.) I also keep looking for 6th gear.

Bought a 1994 750 off Ebay in September - just messing around with half an hour to go and was horrified to find I had the winning bid. Went up to Doncaster to collect it, seemed to run OK so wife and I attempted to load it on the trailer. Problem one was the tyres were too wide to fit in the track. Decided to ride it home but had a tyre valve come adrift half way back so had to leave the bike, take the trailer home to adapt it so that I could then collect the bike. Got the bike back home to discover back caliper leaking fluid, engine clattered like a bag of nails and there was enough smoke coming out of the exhaust to provde a smoke screen for the entire NATO fleet. This on a bike that had been MOT'd the day before I collected it! Have now spent a few quid (!) on having engine rebuilt and fortunately no real damage other than new piston rings. Engine has only done 20K so I may yet have a bike that's worth all the agro of the last few months. |
