Hi,i have a kawasaki z750 e1 which im trying to restore,it has been sat for 10 years in someones back garden and only has 14,000 miles on the clock.my problem is the carbs, they are keihin cv-34s.i have managed to clean everything inside the carbs jets and everything but my one problem is the carb on cylinder #1,the one with the choke handle on it,the slide is jammed tight in there and ive tried everything i can to get it out! boiling it in water for an hour a flame torch, soaking in paraffin for a week wd40 you name it and it still wont budge so i think its time to look for a spare or an equivalant set of carbs! so does anyone know what i may be able to do to get it out or does anyone know of any carbs from any other bike i might be able to put back on my bike? Thanks for reading! |

I had a similar problem with my Z750E/GPZ750R1 mongrel but I got lucky with the slides after soaking them in petrol. Btw, mine is fitted with Mikuni BS34's which presumably came from the GPZ side of the family. GT750 shafties have the BS34's too so hopefully, that'll broaden your search parameters.
