Just finished restoring a H1 for the past 18mth complete rebuild including tank and carb clean, carb balance ,new iridium plugs, air filter oil & filter brake disks ,pads, fluid fork seals & oil ,sprockets ,chain new battery etc after fitting new engine when it comes to start it is a mission to say the least as soon as a little choke is attempted it just stops trying you have to just keep cranking till at finally spluters to life. once started fires up on the button for about 8hrs after and runs and pulls like a dream. then leave over night and back to aquare one ! checked jet sizes and correct for bike. even tried pulling a 12v supply to positive side of coils as was told could be a weak spark but no differance. ANY IDEAS ??????? Thanks in advance Edited by screamingbiker, Sep 10 2010, 08:31 PM.

Could it be high float levels/ leaking needle and seat? I don't know if you have pressed in seats, but if not I've seen where the carb body is corroded enough that the o-ring around the seat can't seal and results in an excessive fuel level. |
