Ok guys, I have my late dads GPZ550 on an A plate, which I think was a 1984. This was my dads pride and joy, brought new from Russells Kawasaki in Loughborough, Leicestershire. This has been stored in a heated garage for many years. It has just over 2000 miles on the clock, 1000 of which I did in my youth, I do remember just over 120mph which seemed quick at the time, although I think that is 2nd gear on my R1. I gave it a polish at the weekend, cleaned the carbs and put some fresh juice in it, and it started straight away on jump leads. This bike looks like new, but will need a battery and a couple of tyres for piece of mind. Is there anybody out there that would care for an old classic? |
