Hi All And pretty much my first post on here. I've got an old 1990 H1 and the Carbs are giving me real problems not holding a balance for any time and engine idle is well "Hit or Mis" Bike was left standing for a long time before I got my mits on it and I recon the carbs have had it! Just wondered if anyone could tell me what model carbs could be used to upgrade the current setup cause I'm sure any H1 carbs I bought will be in the same if not worse "nick" Thanks Craig P.s. I've been a mechanic now for 25 years "I remember when cars had carbs couple a mine still do" ;)

So I take it that you already cleaned them thoroughly. When bikes sit for long times, even three months, the carbs gum up with gas residues. Motorcycle carbs are particularly much worse than cars because the carbs are much smaller, and jets and holes very tiny. If you have cleaned them, disregard what I said. |
