hello all... i need some help with adjusting a cam chain on a old g reg zxr750.. iv taken the carbs off and got to the tensioner but i cant figure out o the adjuster workers..i have removed the 10mm in the back but thats a far as i have got all help is welcome thanks AL |

not had anything to do with one but would think it would be an auto tensioner on a bike that age , kawa long ago did away with manual tensioners , maybe if you have a rattle its stuck which isnt unknown on them |

Hi. The tensioner on these is of the auto-tension type and these tend to stick after a while. ( I also have a 1989 ZXR750H1) You can buy a manual tensioner to replace the auto one and these cost about 60 pounds from APE. Well worth the money. Good luck. Kevin |

un bolt and hold tight and release the ratchet so it extends fully give it a good oiling and clean and replace |
