ZZR 600 Alarm; Help please

Hi there, I'm new to this forum, and to riding ZZRs. I bought a ZZR600 a couple of weeks ago and the alarm is driving me crazy. It's a 2001 with a LaserLine Alarm and Imobilizer. The alarm was fitted by Kawasaki. Every time I go to start the bike I have to go through a series of switching the bike on, seeing if the alarm is on, switching the bike of, trying to switch the alarm off, trying the bike again. Usually it takes 2 or 3 goes to switch the imobilizer off. There is no audio, either beeps or the horn going off, just the hazards flashing and the ignition not working.

Is this a going problem with the alarms on ZZRs? Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?

Thanks

Hi mate get rid :gzs It will only bite you on the "oops",when you least need it.Ask yourself two questions?
1,do i need it for security/deterent?
2,do i need it for insurance purposes?
if
1,score the forum for what people think are the best and have had the least problems!
2,ring your insurance and ask actually what discount you get,I was offered £25 a year for fitting a a £300+ datatool, where as a couple of top locks and a chain is a better deterent.
of course thats just my opinion, and i use a datatool system 4 red.
good luck :yell
