Check out http://www.powerhouseautomotive.co.uk/ I spent a bit of time last week looking through ebay and some of the search engines. These guys were cheaper than others and seem to know what they're doing. Called to order kit to service my ZX6R G2 Tokico calipers and they talked me through it. tney also suggested that if I hit any difficulties, don't be too proud to send theminto themfor service / overhaul. Let us know how you get (or got) on. |

.... sorry, forgot to say that their view was that it's very unusual to have to replace the pistons themselves. I just missed two front calipers on ebay last week that went for £45. Looks like pretty good value as the 12 pistons would set you back a lot more money than that! |

Hiya, you've probably sorted these now, but just to add, the Tokico 6 pot's do differ with the numbers stamped on them, most common are the: 1810 lh and 1811 rh these have 4 pot's @27mm + 2 pot's @24mm The others are less common (zx6r g uses them) they should be stamped: 1660 lh and 1661 rh, These have all 6 pot's @27mm fitted. Wemoto for seals. http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Kawasaki/ZX9R_ZX_900_E1_E2/00-01/picture/Rebuild_Kit_Full_Seals_Caliper_-_Front/ Edited by kwakattak2000, Nov 3 2011, 05:51 PM.

I just totaly overhauled my calipers. £16 a set of ebay for the seals per caliper!!! I hate the calipers on these bikes, absolute shite.........but there ya go, its what we have got. I know we could change to some 4 pot Nissins of Gsxr's etc etc but once overhauled the Tokico's work.........well I aint re-fitted em yet but presume they will lol. |
