Hi, I'm looking to get an enduro style bike for some light off road work, nothing extreme just messing about. It would have to be road legal and I think something like a 250 four stroke would be about right. Now I have been looking at things like the Honda XR250 but then I came accross this:

It's a Quadzilla White Knuckle WK300. Engine is based on a Suzuki DR400 sleeved down to 293cc. Basically, I can get one brand new, on the road with tax and registration for about £1000, even though its RRP is over £2500.

The main points I can find against it are that it weighs 140kg+ dry (although I'm sure with a bit of tinkering I could get that down a little) and it only has electric start so there's no chance of removing the battery and making it kick only.

So really my question is for those who know about off road bikes, is it worth the risk of buying something kind of unknown or should I just stick with the well known stuff?

Cheers,

Dave

any other make i'd say no dont bother but quadzilla is actually a half decent make, atleast to this day i havnt heard or seen one break down yet !! but chinese bikes are generally $hit !! my kinroad chassis snapped pulling onto my drive luckily !! :693
engine was awesome, it was the bike around the engine that fell apart, you know the bit that keeps you fromt hitting the ground ? yeah that bit :693
even ktms have alot of airbox problems, airfilter looks like its attacthed correctly but infact, at the back of the airfilter housing it has a gap of about an inch !! this kills the engine ....
not just that KTM = OVER PRICED, OVER RATED

only bikes i'd have is yamaha kawasaki or suzuki ...... or if i win the lotto maico :693
JAP ALL THE WAY
