just got engine out ov frame ad a prob with the engine mounting bolts but got there in the end just startin to strip engine down hows yours going

:pfq hameildayme hope u z650 project goes well theres lots ov parets on ebay but the other sites wizz told me about have got loads ov new stuff and reasonable as well gud luk with the project

hi ya mate been busy rippin the z 2 bits just got all parts shot blasted just gunna start paintin em n rebuildin engine n gearbox should b ridin it in july

Hope this isn't too late, but I've found out that starter clutches on 650s are weak, and they engage the primary which means you have to split the cases to get to it.If you've opened the cases, definitely renew the starter clutch.
I'm impressed by the stonk my 650 has! The CBR 's been in the garage all summer.

no you can drop the starter clutch through the sump done it myself

many brake/suspension parts interchange between early kz 650/750/900/1000s,if your building a 900/1000 the same parts tend to be much cheaper for 650s :kawa

Hi, I have just restored one myself. EBay is the best place I have got all the parts for my z650 c 1980.
You just have to patient.
