GT750 Slow Speedo Problem

 by Bobf
Hi
My '93 GT750 speedo reads slow at all speeds, at 30 reads 20 at 70 reads 50mph. Any ideas what may be the problem.
Also, will the clockset off a GT550 work OK on the 750, they look identical but what about the ratios etc?

Cheers
Bob

GPz750R1

 by gazzr11
Hi Si,

Yes I mean the 1982 onwards Kawasaki GT750, I think the model was coded as the Z750P1, it ran for a good few years as it was favoured by despatchers. The tank and front mudguard look identical in every respect to the GPz750R1 apart from no bikini fairing fitted, but the GT had shaft drive, air adjustable rear suspension and a rear luggage rack.

Thanks in advance. :D

Does anyone know if the front mudguard for this bike is the same as the GT750 of the same age?

I need one and was wondering if I could expand my options to find it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi from Oz

 by longlost
Hi everyone,
nearly 1 year ago Santa gave me a W650 for being so good.
My first bike was a Suzuki GT185, since then I have owned Honda CB360, Suzuki GT750, Suzuki GN250, Honda CB400, Kawasaki ZZR400 and now the W650.
My riding life started in Wellington NZ, a brief stint in Australia and then moved to Dublin Ireland where I experienced the joy of riding in the snow. Now I am back in Oz and making the most out of the fantastic weather and the reasonably good roads.
I have been reading the forums for a while and thought I would add a few myself.
I know enough to know I don't know much.........

Cheers

650 cooler

 by andy.t.64
Hi, the easyest way that I found for patching in an oilcooler is to use a GT750 sump. This just bolts straight on as a direct replacement, you can then use the GT pipework and cooler. the only other thing you have to do is weld some brackets onto the frame for the cooler to bolt to; you will have to do this no matter which way you decide to go. I know the GT one works well as I have fitted one to my KZ650c powered trike. Take care and ride free. Andy. :228

GT750 1991

 by john hopkins
Has anyone out there changed the gear selector oil seal on a GT750. I have an oil leak and it looks as if I may be able to change the seal without removing the selector shaft or cover. I don't want to reinvent the wheel. so any help will be very welcome. John Hopkins Kawasaki GT750-P5
