I just recently turned 50 and am looking to retire in august 2007. I have always had an interest in riding and have decided to take the dive. I had my sight sets on the vulcan 900 lt. In comparison to all others in its class, it seems to get the best reviews. although little information can be found on the new models, in what little i have found, it seems this is a great bike. I have since been looking at the v stars as well. they seem to be a considerable amount cheaper and since I am new to industry and I really wasn't sure how much money to invest into a first bike, I thought this might be a better choice. I have search and researched web sites and compared various models of bikes in the past month. I'm welcoming any advice you experienced riders may have. I'll be watching for replies.

You should start with something much smaller.

Hi n :199
If you feel pushing it around and think you'll be able to pick it up if you drop it go for it.
Just take thing easy though. it's nothing like driving a cage.
