I have my eyes set on a 89' GPZ900R that I am getting at a throw away price, though i have always dreamt of buying a big bike this is only my first oppurtunity and the one thing I cant do is judge the condition of the bike. The bike looks good and when I rode it, it felt quite fine, though it made a noise like the timing belt had gone or something, the seller said he will get it done, but how do i know that nothing is wrong with the engine or that stuff like that. Though its at a throwaway price but i dont want to get stuck buying it n then spending the rest of my life trying to replace parts..... :rolleyes:
So please could anyone give me tips on symptoms to recognise possible probs in the bike n other points to look for?????
