Hi, i`m in the lymington area of hampshire, willing to ride a bit to meet/ride with others, maybe we can sort out something for `07 sometime.

the_colonel - January 7, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
not heard of any 'organised' stuff yet but will be up for a meet and rideout soon if anyone else is up for that. im gosport area so any suggestions as to a central meet point/pub??

DINGER888 - January 12, 2007 07:43 PM (GMT)
Great to hear from someone, must be others out there. Lookin` forward to better weather.

DINGER888 - March 9, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)

the_colonel - March 11, 2007 09:48 AM (GMT)
Yeah im up for a meet. unfortunatly im back to work this week so will be back around in 4 weeks time... as the weather should be starting to turn for the better soon...(i hope). Hope to give my bike a few final blasts anyway, i just test rode the new zx6r and YES it is GOOD!!!! i want one.....

Will keep the posts and sort out the rideout.

Any preferences for meet point and routes?

Hi there, I'm new to this site. I ride a ZX6R A1P, I'm based in Southampton and would be up for a meet.
Somewhere central makes sense, but as for routes I'm no help I haven't lived here long and I've done the majority of my rides in Cumbria (NICE roads).

Looking forward to it, Jeff

DINGER888 - April 1, 2007 07:57 PM (GMT)
:444 I`m ready and waiting, just let me know where and when, probably get a few mates as well. I ride a ZX6R NINJA F3, only had it 1 year but settled in with it just nice, a nice bike to ride.

the_colonel - June 6, 2007 05:56 PM (GMT)
not heard of any organised rideouts but if anyone wants to meet up from the area then i was gonna suggest a central meet place of park gate..? its sort of in between pompey and soton so should be ideal and just off the m27. let me know if anyones up for it and if this meet up place is ok?
im just back on leave now so keen to get out on me bike while the sun be shining!!

is this weekend sometime to soon?

jeff

the_colonel - June 8, 2007 11:54 AM (GMT)
anyone up for sometime in the week for a get together?

drop us a post and well get it sorted

KawaZiXeR - June 13, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
I'm moving back into Hampshire in the next few weeks, near Petersfield, A3. My partner and I will be looking to meet up with other bikers for rides out to meets.

Hi there I'm in hants, is anyone else going to Bealieu bike show on 23/24th June could be an opportunity for a ride out. I'm going on the Sunday if anyones up for a ride out let me know.

the_colonel - June 14, 2007 06:39 PM (GMT)
yeah im going to the show on saturday. never been to the show..is it good?

Andy F - June 15, 2007 04:47 PM (GMT)
Its not a bad show been a few times now. There are plenty of trade stands a a few dealers there usually. Throughout the day various forms of entertainment go on in the main arena. The food is the standard outdoor catering overpriced stuff but thats to be expected. Be warned the bike park is usually up a rather battered track and not the most fun to ride up, though there is usually a helmet park on hand. You should have a good day.

the_colonel - June 15, 2007 06:04 PM (GMT)
i remember going to the motor museum last year and the car park was more of a dirt track then so was undecided whether to go there on the bike..any plans of making the day into a rideout?

DINGER888 - June 15, 2007 07:21 PM (GMT)
I`m still up for a ride sometime, not this w/e (16- 17), but anyother w/e would be good, Sunday is probably the best day for me.

the_colonel - June 15, 2007 08:02 PM (GMT)
could manage a sunday rideout, cant do this sunday either but next sunday is prob good. me bike is run in now so can finally open it up :-)
was thinking of a central meet like near park gate if thats any good?

Andy F - June 15, 2007 09:38 PM (GMT)
I'd be up for a rideout once I get my bike back after a small fire under the seat. (See tech talk). As I said off to beaulieu next Sunday but apart from that if a date is posted I'll check my shifts. Roll on next month when I can stop doing nights and weekends lol.

Andy F - June 16, 2007 06:38 PM (GMT)

For those interested thats the link to the bike show site, you can save a few quid if you book in advance.

Andy F - June 17, 2007 01:22 PM (GMT)
Thought I'd try and start a list for a rideout and see who is interested. Only rough idea so far but meet up somewhere central and have a lil ride around and end up at beaulieu show. They got a big screen apparently for the moto GP so you dont have to miss it. So if your up for it add you name to the list. I'll get it started:-

With the bike show this w/e 23/24 and probably most of a day out, we should make a definite date for a w/e after, so it will be into July then. Anyone of the sunday`s is good for me. So we have the 1st , 8th , 15th , 22nd and the 29th, lets all agree on a date and meet up.
I`m in Lymington so could meet others on the way, not sure where Park Gate is.
Ian..

monkeyseemonkeydo - June 19, 2007 02:27 PM (GMT)
For those of you heading to Beaulieu this weekend, be sure to come and check out the Trials course over near the grass track. I'm riding biketrial demos all day both days and the sections are looking pretty cool! Fingers crossed for the weather!

Dave

Andy F - June 19, 2007 03:08 PM (GMT)
Looks like I am taking the car to beaulieu now as I plan to get a few bargains so a weekend in July is fine by me. Just for info Dave Park Gate is kinda Hedge End way just off M27.

the_colonel - June 19, 2007 07:04 PM (GMT)
a rideout the first weekend of july is fine (does the 1st sound good to anyone else??) im away back to work for rest of that month so the first sunday is good with me.
open to any other suggestions for a central meeting place...

jeff

DINGER888 - June 20, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
July 1st is ok with me, i know Hedge End drive thru off the M27.
What sort of time is anyone thinking of.
Who rides what, i have ZX6R. hope it`s big enough.

Andy F - June 21, 2007 08:02 AM (GMT)
Hi there 1st of July sounds fine to me, I ride a ZX12R but not a fast rider really. Anyone ideas of routes, I'm still finding my way round down here really.
Andy F

the_colonel - June 21, 2007 11:38 AM (GMT)
That makes 3 of us so far
not got any fixed routes...but know some good roads out towards wickham/alton and one to salisbury then back through winchester, a mix of motorway, a/b roads and some open countryside

hedge end drive thru...thats junction 7? fine by me

i ride a zx6r too

jeff

DINGER888 - June 21, 2007 08:28 PM (GMT)
What sort of time suits all.
Ian.

the_colonel - June 21, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
early afternoon is fine 1 or 2 pm...ish

Andy F - June 22, 2007 03:47 PM (GMT)
Any time is fine by me really, just fingers crossed for the weather. Junction 7 is fine by me.

Andy

DINGER888 - June 22, 2007 07:39 PM (GMT)
O.K 1 o`clock`ish i`ll be there (subject to weather), a mate from work is thinking of coming.
I`ve been along the A272 a good few times, in car only though, always a few bikes about, how about going out that way somewhere, midhurst, petersfield.
Cheers ... Ian...

the_colonel - June 23, 2007 07:02 PM (GMT)
did anyone got to the beaulieu bike show today....washed out or what!

higgsy - June 23, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
not only washed out but next to bugger all there either, don't know if goodwood had anything to do with it. if you are going tomorrow (take into account the weathers going to be even worse than today) don't eat from the so called authentic thai stand, it had to be the blandest food i've ever had :rnt

Andy F - June 24, 2007 05:17 PM (GMT)
Went today and was a washout again, most of the traders were packing up before lunch and nothing happening in the arena. On the up side they did reduce entry fees and were some bargains to be had as traders wanted shot of gear. Dont think that goodwood or the moto gp helped with the turnout.

DINGER888 - June 24, 2007 07:54 PM (GMT)
Lets hope it`s better for next w/e, can`t be any worse.
