Title: Engine Build

Hi every one, can anyone help me regarding Engine build on a ZX9R-E1. I am looking to tune the engine for more torque, and on a low budget. History tells me that the ZZR100 was a 900cc (GPZ) Engine unit that went through a slight modification and wollop-a 1100cc nutter engine was born.
Theory: if this is so and these engines are closely relaited, can a ZX9R use donor parts from a ZZR1100 or ZXR12, better still could one of these engines drop into my frame. I dont have Engine casing sizes so im not sure if its poss.

Your right that the ZX9, ZX10, and ZX11 are related, there are some parts you can use, but most of them are from the rolling chassis rather than engine parts.
As for just changing the whole engine, there might be some problems doing that, I tried to use a zx10d engine in my zx10a, but it wouldn't fit without changing the tank/airbox and carbs. I also noticed that you couldn't put a top and of a zx10b on the top of a zx10a. So check the engines carefuly before spending the cash.
Good luck
