I'm thinking I'd maybe enjoy a zzr600 . Maybe 1993-4 as I'm on a very tight budget .
I'd be happy to hear any opinions or useful hints at what to look for and what to avoid .
Or do you know the whereabouts of a likely candidate ?
All info appreciated ,
Thanks , Terrykawa

very good choice of bike!!
the zzr 600 is pretty quick when running right, it's good on fuel, comfortable and, best of all - CHEAP - both to buy and to insure, excellent handling and very easy to work on - i'm on my second zzr - my first being a little 250 import and i've had numerous others in between but came back to the zzr.
overall - an excellent choice and suprisingly quick!!! and there are plenty on ebay and cheap as well the only thing i have found to be wary of is the carbs need to be set up right and the front brake is a bit clumsy
good luck and happy riding :441

I bought a totalled off 94 ZX 6 from insurance a few years ago and fixed it up and sold it(it's sad demise is recounted elsewhere in this forum). Now it's totalled forever.
Anyway, the fairing and windscreen were broken; a Lockhart Speedscreen took care of one problem but make no mistake, secind hand fairing parts do not exist, I don't know if Kawasaki even supplies them, here in Canada anyway. I ended up cutting and shaping pieces of ABS, then filling sanding and painting and the potential owner bought it partly because of it's looks.
After I made it road worthy but before I sold it, I put a few hundred kms on it and with 36000kms showing(and having been crashed) it was still solid, I saw 140 MPH indicated, and it had a beautiful engine sound.Thoroughly recommended.
If possible, pay close attention to PO's maintenance record, unless he's had the valves shimmed this will most likely have to be done and is a pain in the a&&.
Happy hunting!
