Title: Starting Issues
Description: Help?!

OldGuy - August 30, 2006 02:23 PM (GMT)
Hey all! Need some advice or help please?

I have a 2003 KLX125. It was stolen and then recovered. Ran great until then. Now it won't start by itself. If you pour some gas directly in the carb it will start and run until that gas is gone. I want to say something is clogging the jets and preventing fuel flow. Am I on target with that or could it be something I haven't looked at yet?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Lots!!!

You should contact George at www.wgcarbs.com he can help i'm sure. I'd try spraying the carbs with carb and combustion chamber cleaner if you can keep it running for 5 mins. Sometimes just tapping gently can loosen a stuck needle valve. I've used all these things at one point or another. :445

Thanks Jack! I will do just that! I had to buy a new pilot jet cause the old one was so gummed up. Now It seems as though it is flooding itself out. Float level I am guessing. I will hit him up and see what he says. Thanks again!!!

Well guys, we just about have it. That new jet and then some serious hit and miss tweaking on the float. Now we have put in a new diaphragm and i am hoping it is running a whole lot better. Not too sure because my Bro-in-law did it yesterday in KY. I am with my other half in VA right now. Guess I was on the right track afer all! Thanks for all your help guys!
