Hi everyone, ive only just joined this site.
Ive got a blue and white zx6r j2, done a few mods to it like tail tidy, double bubble, crash bungs, end can etc..
I would like to have a bit more acceleration bottom end. Can anyone tell me the best way to do this. Ive heard that changing my sprockets can achieve this eg 1 tooth off front, 3 off rear?
Your help and advice would be much appreciated.
Thankyou.
Simon
Yes 1 tooth off the front or 1,2,3 teeth ON the rear will help lower the gearing and give you better acceleration. It will also make the bike seem "revvier" when cruising.
Depending on the state of your chain you may need to add or remove links when changing gearing so that you do not run out of adjustment.
