Title: GPz 1100 B2 over fuelling??
Description: running rough when warm!

Hi,
I'm having probs getting the bike to run right! It's a GPz1100 B2 with fuel injection. When I start it up from cold with the fast idle lever on it ticks over and revs lovely, as it warms up and starts coming off the fast idle lever it starts running rough! The revs aren't consistant, it bogs then picks up as you rev it and there is quite a bit of smoke out the exhaust! The plugs are black when I take them out also!
It's like it still thinks its cold and is running too rich? I've tested the engine temperature sensor as per the manual and assume it to be ok, also I'm getting the right voltages out of the ECU!
Any ideas or help would be more than appreciated!!
Should I stick with it or ditch the FI in favour of carbs??

On the FI GPZ1100 B2 the richness is controlled by fuel pressure. Are your sensors in good condition? You have an engine temperature sensor under the left side throttle body with a wire bullet connector, an air temperature sensor just before the air filter assembly and the throttle position sensor on the left side next to the left throttle body.

I have a GPZ1100 B2 I'm redoing the wiring from the factory connectors to the weatherpack style found under the hood of most cars.

a website to buy a factory shop manual (FSM) is at: www.repairmanual.com
