Title: ZXR 750h1 Restrictor
Description: How and where is the restrictor

Hello just finished a quick rebuild of me old zxr 750 h1 which I bought last year in a very poor state. Final got it running sweet as a nut, but she will not rev over 8k ? a friend had a quick look and we both came to same conclusion, the bike was imported in 1996 , and seems to have some form of rev restritor. Does anyone know how the restrictor works and how can I remove it.

Hi there

I am not familliar with the restriction kit off that bike, But if you check the carbs and make sure that when you pull the throttle the carbs can open fully, there may be a small bracket or something stopping it and also make sure your carb to engine rubbers are the correct ones, i have seen restricted ones that have a metal plate in the rubber with a smaller hole in it, only allowing a certain ammount of air feul mixture into the engine. I have got a set of rubbers if you need them.

Also i'm not too sure about the zxr but i have seen bikes with a restricted CDI aswel,

Hope this Helps, Ken
