For last 3 months have been using one of these Oxford Maximiser 360T's without any problems. Usually leave it on all the time and it analyses the battery, charges, and then holds on maintain. Lately though it's not been moving off charge mode even after a week whereas it normally moves on to maintain after less than a day.
Thinking it was stuck in charge mode and overcharging the battery I decided to unplug it. Gone to start the bike tonight and it's as flat as a fart. Last run out was 6 days ago - would've thought it should start ok after that time?
Do you reckon my battery is cream crackered ? Thing is the trickle charger's supposed to tell me if it is?
Any help greatly appreciated. Bike is an 05 ZX636 if it makes any difference. No alarm wired up that could be running it down or anything like that.
Thanks
If its the original battery,it could well be gubbed. Battery life is dependent on how its used. If the bike is used daily on say,a 15 mile round trip, the battery will last longer than if the bike is used only a few days a week.
I think that it was on constant charging,it was saying "battery's fooked mate".
I have an Oximiser and I have had no probs with it. BTW, don't be tempted to buy a 'cheaper brand' battery, you only get what you pay for and they definately don't last.
