Well after a gap of twenty years i've finally given in to the itch and gotten a bike again.
Lived down south for over 30 years and to be honest it was to bloody hectic and too many idiots in cars.
Moved up to the Scottish Borders couple of years back and after seeing how many bikers get up along the A7 etc i thought i would buy a bike.
Now i know my limits and know while my skill level has stayed the same(or gotten worse) the bikes over the last 20 years have come on leaps and bounds.
Wasn't quite prepared for how much tho :o
After test riding several 600's i settled on a 2004 636R Ninja, all i can say is F**K ME
Feels like i'm having to learn to ride all over again, but what a blast, absolutely cracking bike and i am loving it.
Wrists are bloody sore tho LOL
Nix
Welcome nix.
You sound like you could do with an older cruiser style like me

But i still have a bundle of fun when i need it
Well if i had the money/space/more understanding wife, then thats exactly what i would do :D
I thought about a cruiser, but my heart ruled my head and i got the Ninja instead LOL
