Bought a 53 plate z1000 last August,intermittent fault with immobiliser i think,took back to shop and they checked the alarm system and replaced the control box.problem seemed to go away for a while.Went for a run on Saturday and the problem has re-occurred.When the ignition is turned on you can't hear the fuel being pumped.When it's running it runs perfectly.Any ideas or has anyone experienced similar problems,any info would be of help.The alarm is a meta system.

I believe the noise you can hear when the ignition is first turned on is not the fuel pump,
When you first turn the ignition on the ECU automatically drives the subthrottle valves fully open to fully closed in each throttle body. I think this is the noise you are hearing or not in your case.
