Title: Flashing FI light

Ollie - May 4, 2008 05:59 PM (GMT)
OK, getting a little frustrated now :lkl
As I've previously explained on another thread, after fitting my Mivv Suono end can with PCIII, I'm getting my FI light flashing.
Now, I must also state that I completely removed the cables from the valve motor.

The conditions under which the FI light appear are sitting above ~78-80mph, (in top gear), for more than about 4mins - i.e. on the motorway.
I can a happily blat about all day varying the revs/throttle at any speed in any gear without it appearing, but as soon as I sit at a constant as described, it appears :azq

So, yesterday I replaced the cables, putting locks on the end to simulate the operation of the valve on the stock exhaust, thinking - yup that'll do it :fdq NO!!

So, is there anyway I can get the error codes from the bike??
Any suggestions/ideas welcome.

Thanks,
Ollie

Hi Ollie, sorry to hear your having all this angst after fitting all this expensive gear.
I dont have an answer for you unfortunately, but have you tried it without the power commander.
I feel sure you have probably thought of this already but why dont you contact the manufacturer directly as this is a very popular end can on the continent.
Best of luck.

Limehead, I have thought about trying to eliminate various things, but rather than just stabbing in the dark, if I could interrogate the engine managment system for the error codes, it might point me in the right direction!
Thanks,
Ollie

OK, so I've downloaded the service manual, and it lists a way of displaying the accumulated error codes, basically - turn on ignition, make sure odomenter is in the display and press and hold the 'mode' button for 2 seconds.
On my bike nothing happens :o
Anyone else ever tried looking at their error codes??
