Just bought my new 2008 vulcan 900 and overall i am pleased with the bike.
Took some time getting used to the stretched out feeling and the location of the shifter and brake.
The bike has adequate power for the bike and cruiuses easly at 120/130 klm.
The ride is soft and takes the bumps nicely.
I dont like the amount of wind getting around the windshield, may have to adjust the windshield, trial and error.

I recently acquired a 2005 750 Vulcan and love it !! It only had 8K miles on it, looks and runs awesome! Only fault I have so far is that on the open interstate at those speeds, the bike is light enough that the wind buffets me around like a kite in a tornado! It's not as bad when I'm on the road by myself but when I get behind a big truck, apparently right about where the wind 'slams' back together after passing the truck, it's like turbulence in a small aircraft!
Does your windshield help this? I had one on my old Honda CX-500 and don't remember getting catching quite as much wind on it as I'm getting now but am hesitant to invest in another one at this time.
