:fdq hi, owned a Z750 04 model for 3 months :kawas its done 8500 miles. im a bit worried about a loudish ticking noise.the warmer and the more revs the bike gets, the louder the ticking gets. only passed my test 6 months ago so sorry if its daft question. can anybody help cheers. :256

wow that sounds like the proublem that Im having now with my zr550 is the noise sound like it from the top part like around the valve cover becous mine did the same and to find out it was my cam chain tensioner hope this helped you out let me know :jqf good luck

cheers for the advise mate, thats exactly what i thought it could be. took the bike back where i bought it, for them to have a listen. they told me its nothing to worry about. its still under warranty and due for a service in another 1000 miles. so if anything goes wrong i guess its down to them to sort out. i just hope they are right. :res

well man what it sounds like to me is that the place you got your ride from is taking you for a ride. If you know what I mean if they really wanted to help you they would so. If I where you Id tell them not to what till the next check up becous if it is that cam chain it can go at eny time. Not to scare you or enything but it's nothing to mess around with and the parts Ive found they don't cost much compared to a hole motor well hope you hve good luck in all this :kbv
