I have recently bought a well used 95 m plate, kle 500.
it runs fine but I thought I would give it a service, the small owners handbook mentions checking coolant levels in the bottle, I can't find a bottle, I took off the left hand fairing and found the thermostat housing and rad top, there is coolant in the system and the bike runs fine, am I missing something?
any other general maintenance tips would be appreciated, I have ordered a workshop manual.

I stand to be corrected - and i'm going on memory alone cos the bikes at home in the garage, but try under the left side rear side panel.... i think that's where mine is (an 05 model)

If i'm wrong i'm guessing someone will be along shortly to tell me i'm an idiot!!!

As for general maintenance - look after it..... mines done 17k miles now, and i wash it/clean it religously, but still spend more time putting it back together than actually riding it!!!

Mind you - i'm convinced mine was made at 4.45pm on a Friday afternoon!!! :lkv
