Well i have just bought my first Kawasaki! A blue B1h with 6000 on the clock. VERY impressed with it, really is a great machine.

BUT

Unfortunatly i have a few months left on my restricted licence. This means i have to spend money to make the thing go slower. I have seen a set of restricters for a carb'd bike, and they were litterally 4 washers that sat in the inlet to restrict the air going through. Is this the same for an injected bike?

Being keen i immediatly began the search for restricters. i bought a set for an '05 R6 which were exactly the same as the ones i had seen on the carb'd bike. round hole with 15mm ID. i knew that the throttle body sizes were the same between the two models so it was worth the punt for the money i paid. turns out they werent so i made up some new ones with the same ID.

when i put them in i found there is a cuttout where the injecter squirts. instead of the injecter squirting into the port down the cut out, it looks like there is a metal washer in the way now. it idles an revs ok at standstill but i dont want to ride it untill i know its ok. IS THIS RIGHT? is there meant to be an extra cuttout for the injector?

I really hope somone can help.
