:599 hi guys got a problem.... in trying to move my Z1000 around in the garage I have to jack up back wheel to slide into place. there are two pipe on the right hand side trailing arm that appear to take two cables to the exhaust... I think it is the buttrefly valve...well I have cleverly snapped one of the pipes but doint want to run the engine in case any damage occurs.... Can anyone tellme if this is going to be expensive and waht does the butterfly valve do in the exhaust

Fingers crossed for a cheap outcome :256

Take it you hav a modern Z1????
Not sure what you mean though, check this link. Shows the exhaust system, no cables, no butterfly valves.
That micro fisch should help you locate and name the parts.
Good luck with it

Ah, found a more modern one, the 2007 version has your cables etc. I've never seen anything like those before, so I can't help you much, at least you should be able to quote the right part number when you ask your dealer about the prices.
