Just joined your group. I,ve got a ZZR 1200 and have bought a tubular pannier rack. It,s the one that was fitted to the Z as an extra when new. Can anyone tell me which boxes fit this rack.

hi bill, ive got the same set up. they were sold with painted givi luggauge to match the bike but you can fit any givi mono lock top box or side pans. what year bike is it ? if its 02- 03- 04 its the same as mine. will try to dig some pics out for you if it helps. cheers, wayne.

Thanks for the reply. It,s an 05 bike and I think the racks are the same as yours. Got no fitting instructions so pics would be good. Don,t want to leave em on all the time. Are they a pain to fit/remove ?

once the frame is on most people tend to leave them. i leave all the frame on but just have the top box and when needed slip on the pans. you will need to remove the rear grab handles as the fitting goes via that fixing. i would love to send pics but im new to this site and dont know how to add photos. could e-mail them to you if you wish. the frame work looks fine once on as it is thin and not like the older type which i think was stronger but a lot more of it. i dont have any paperwork/ instructions but as i said if you want pics via e-mail let me know, wayne


bill just had a look yes you could take the hangers for the side pans off in about 10mins just leaving the top box mount in place, and without the top box on it looks like a sports rack.

hey bill got your mail glad the pics are some help. i do get up to matlock but if you want to see the fixings on bike then let me know and we can sort it out. ebay is good for luggage always lots on so be choosey. sorry i cant let you have the seat but if you want one it is made by corbin( little on the expensive side but worth every penny )
