Title: Test ride on Sat - 2005 Z750

Hello, taking a test ride on a 2005 Z750 on Saturday. I'm currently riding a Triumph Tiger 1050, but the repayments are crippling me, so looking for something a little less harsh on the bank balance.

Anyone care to shed any light on what I can expect? I'm hoping it has a bit more grunt & torque than my old CBR600, which was hard work at times, but that could just be down to me being too lanky for the bike.

Looking forward to it anyway, always fun to ride something you have never ridden before. :D

Hi, I went from a CBR600 to a 2007 Z750 and so far I am happy with it.
However the build quality isnt up to the Honda but I didnt expect it to be ,but never having had a Triumph I dont know how you will feel about what is actually a budget priced bike.
The power delivery is better for me , not requiring a handfull of revs to make progress, and the riding position is also much better.
I dont think you will regret buying one, enjoy the test ride.

I test rode many bikes before deciding on the 750. All the 600's were too much hard work with the revs, not suiting my riding.
I've just finished running mine in and it's fantastic. The reviews of the bike from the press compare it to the Triumph Tripple, and it looses, however I don't think I'll be riding it like that.
Reviews from MC here, (the owners reviews are better than the press);
MCN review

My only complaint is the seat, it's uncomfortable over an hours ride, mayby I just need to get used to it :693
