I've got a z650 f3 and I want a kick start (dont ask me why), I can see a blanking grommet on the engine casing, but does anyone know if thats just a hangover from the f1 or can you fit a kick start, and if so any ideas where I can get one? :099

From memory, you should bea able to fit a kickstarter to your 650.
You may want to send an email to a kawaski dealer - they should bea able to give you part numbers etc.

I would think that the blanking plate covers a hole from a generic crankcase cover, and to fit a kickstart would involve splitting the cases and installing a complete starter shaft, seems an awful lot of work for something we older bikers were glad to see the back of.
Now can anybody tell me how to fit a starting handle on my Celica.
