Title: 2007 Z750 Aftermarket Can
Description: Which Is Best Any Photo's ?

Z750James - February 7, 2008 12:39 PM (GMT)
Had my 07 Z750 since September last year and all I have done is fitted a R & G tail tidy and crash protectors.

Has anyone fitted an aftermarket can ? If so which one and do yuo have any photo's ?

Also is the small screen worth fitting does it do the job ?

Any help would be great.

Hi, I recently fitted the screen to my Z750 which looks really smart against the lime green, However, it has caused a bit of play around the clock surround and now rattles slightly on tickover, no great problem.
If you want to see some different end cans, type Z750 into you tube, quite a few people have fitted them and show them there, although Im not sure who is the saddest,them for doing it or me for watching

Cheers Limehead, i've looked on YouTube but the ones I like the look of on there you can't seem to find a stockist in the UK, I saw one call Fresco which looked alot like the Termigoni which is fitted to the Yamaha M1 MotoGp bike, but could only see our French fellas on there with that can.

I also have an 07 Z750 :099 , and looked at the cans on YouTube.
The Devil Master looked fantastic, complimenting the bike, and sounds good with/without the noise baffle. You can get them here;
Devil Master Endcans

The Akrapovic also looks good;
Akraprovic Endcans/Full systems

Anyone fitted these?

Hi, I really want to fit an aftermarket pipe to my 07 Z750, and have looked at the pipes mentioned.
Although one thing about the bike is it makes a decent noise already, I believe the weight saving can be as much as 6kg.
However, what happens to the ECU controlled exhaust device?
Also to all you fellow Z750 owners out there, who I presume are as pleased with your bikes as I am, do you also like me feel like tw***ng those who insist on asking why you didnt buy a street triple.

I've not been taunted with that, but my answer would be simple, the 750 looks much better and at the time of purchase, nearly £1000 cheaper :kawas
The Triumph is rated much better in the press, but I'm not them and they don't represent my view of the bike and what I use it for.

From what I know which isn't alot, you remove the buttefly valve from the exhaust and whichever end can you go for they give you a blanking plug which fools the ECU thinking it is there.

I'm not to keen on the Devil end can, for me it's to long, I'm going for the MIVV GP nice and stubby little can and really suits the bike.

As regards the speed triple for me it looks nowhere near as good as the baby Zed, |I wouldn't swap mine for pretty much anything I just love the bike.

I would be really interested to know how you go on if you go ahead with this.
Please keep me posted

Although I havn't actually decided which can to go for yet, I do like the look of the Mivv Suono, which are produced in Italy.
Has anybody had any experience of these?

I thought I'd made my mind up on the Akrapovic, then I have a little gander at the Mivv Suono, very similar exhaust, possibly slightly pips the Akrapovic in looks - but I think it's more expensive. In terms of quality, Akrapovic are probably one of the best in their business :444
Have you got an figures on the Mivv?
The Akrapovic boasts;
3.8BHP increase and considerable weight decrease.
Do you have figures on the Mivv?

Cheers

Hi Ollie, the Mivv Souno only shows a slight increase in power slightly lower down the rev rage {50rpm} and this is at 10350 rpm.
Not somewhere I have even visited on my Z yet as its still not fully run in.
However, the gain in weight saving is 4kg and it looks the dogs, which to me is just as important as a power increase, but at over £400 I might just save it towards a Z1000.

Z1000 :693 Your thinking about a Z1000 already :022
Mine too, has only 500miles on the clock having only just managed to run in before the winter set in. I only bought it in September.
Still, aftermarket endcan is a must for all my bikes, but in this instance, I'm going to wait until I can see the two, Akrapovic & Mivv, in the flesh before I make my mind up :fdq

Limehead, thanks for the pointer - having reviewed all the data on both the Mivv Suono and Akrapovic, I went for the Mivv. I think it looks better, performace is about the same and I got it much cheaper than the Akrapovic, and also added a Power Commander and K&N air filter.

I have to say that is the best looking one in my opinion, I would really like to see any photos if you have them.
Where did you get it ,who fitted it, and did you get it on a dyno?

I only ordered the lot today. Probably 2-3 week lead time. In no rush as not taxing the bike until April.
With the Power Commander, you don't really need to go to a Dyno station. You can download your current set-up from the web, in this case:
Mivv Suono endcan & K&N airfilter on an 07 Z750.
Program the box and plug it in - off you go. The average figures I've seen with this setup is an increase in about 10%. More importantly, is the smoothing of the power delivery and making sure the engine isn't running lean/pinking etc.....

I've also been informed that if you remove the baffle on the Mivv, it's best-for long periods to re-program the PCIII.

As soon as it arrives, I'll take lots of pictures of me unwrapping it like a 3 year old on Christmas Day :693

I had a Scorpion end can fitted to my zed. Got the bike in September. Don't have any pics of the new one yet but at 299 plus fitting I was happy!
