Title: ER6 Mirror Extentions

kitedude - September 26, 2007 06:20 PM (GMT)
To all you ER6'rs I have just had the mirror extentions fitted to my ER6f and they make rearward visibility so much better so they have to be worth the 30 or so quid to get them fitted. I just have to wonder...If Kawasaki saw the need to make the extentions, Why not make the mirrors longer in the first place? :256

Call me cynical Kitedude but its probably so they can make another 30 quid out of us,I'm going to have to bite the bullet and have them fitted as nearly got taken out by a people carrier on Friday. Great fun bike to ride though. :444

They almost certainly will. Manufacturers tend to keep their mirror thread sizes the same across the entire 'fleet'.

I got round the problem with my ER's mirrors by replacing them with a set of Oberon bar end mirrors which have the added bonus of looking sweet :D

Blimey I hope most people are fitting the extensions themselves, even for a non mechanical wally like me I managed to fit them in 20 minutes - that's £30 more on beer for me :D
