Hi,

I'm looking for any info on a bike I just purchased.

it's a 1985 750 LTD, model # ZN750A

Can't seem to find much info thus far on the web for this model re: manual, aftermarket, or even OEM parts. :256

Any help appreciated.
thanks,

Had a look through my books etc. It seems the bike was only made for two years at most, 1984/85.
I assume it is the 4 cylinder twin shock ZN750.

EDIT:

OK, I dug a bit harder.

From the Kawasaki Model Recognition book.

1984= ZN750-A1
1985= ZN750-A2

4 stroke,4 cylinder DOHC, 5 speed

Kawasaki's words

basically same as the ZN700-A1 but with 750cc engine

ZN700-A1 and A2, American sports model with shaft drive. Dual front disc,single rear, air adjustable forks and rear shocks

Both the 700 and 750 are American market only bikes, so it must be an import and only made for 1984/85. Parts may be available from the US only.
Try these two sites here for more info, both American, kzrider is very good for technical help.

Thanks a lot doebag...great info

Someone else told me the ZN750 was only available in Canada and Europe due to the American trade tax on Japanese bikes in the early 80's.

The same bike was downgraded slightly (engine) and sold as the ZN700 in US.

You may have to be a bit more exact in your bike description.

The Z750-K2, was made in 1984 for North America and Europe.

The Z750-H4, was made in 1983 for North America,Europe and rest of world.

The Z750-F1, was made in 1983 for North America only.

The ZN750-A1, was made in 1984 for North America only.

The Z750-K2 is Belt driven Vertical twin, front disc brake and rear drum brake, and has 7 spoke cast alloy wheels with straight spokes.

The Z750-H4 is a Chain driven four cylinder, disc brakes front and rear, and has 7 spoke cast alloy wheels.

The Z750-F1 is a Shaft drive four cylinder, disc brakes front and rear, and has 7 spoke cast alloy wheels.

The ZN750-A1 is Shaft drive four cylinder, disc brakes front and rear, and has 5 spoke cast alloy wheels [the spokes look like they are in 5 pairs of 2, but I cannot be sure] and the spokes are slightly curved.

However, all four bikes are badged as "750 LTD" :256

On the 'buykawasaki' web site, all bikes are listed by their American market names unfortunately, so you may have to look at the parts diagrams to identify your bike. The nearest I could get was '700 LTD Shaft', whch is the same bike but with the slightly smaller engine.

The engine in the 750 should be common to all the later air cooled 750's like the GT750, Z750-R and the GPz750
