When I got this laptop last year it came with the Media edition that everyone hated. I like it. It is only XP with a high memory consuming media player. Needless to say, I don't use it.
How is Vista? How different is it compared to XP. Easier or harder? I was thinking of upgrading but not sure. DOn't know anyone that has it to ask so please help me out?

IT'S OK ,I HAD XP FOR ABOUT 6 YEARS AND LIKED IT. THE VISTA IS SO NEW I DONT THINK IT WORKS AS WELL YET. WHEN I GO TO DOWN LOAD SOME THINGS THEY DONT HAVE A VISTA PROGRAM YET. THAT KIND OF THING. AS FAR AS SURFING THE NET AND HOME USE ITS OK

that seems to be the major hurdle, mr Gates was so fast in releasing vista that none of the programme writers were ready for it

Are we talking about programs that are compatible with Vista? Like productivity and games?
Kinda like the limited scope of programs for the mac? I would rather use a Mac but until I can afford one my old iMac will have to do!

some programs are not compatible with vista so they will not work.
wait for the patches to come out first..
