hullo!
my second post! i went to the alton station meet yesterday (11 july), was such a good evening, there must of been at least 100 bikes there! however, i only found 1 er-6, and that was mine! i find this terrible! where are you all?! if you have an er6, or any bike for that matter, and live in hampshire (anywhere will do!) let me know cos i need people to go out and ride with!

None of my friends have bikes, the only person i know who has a bike is my dad, and he has a bmw 1200gs adventure, but he doesnt really like to go for 'just a ride' i dont know what his problem is!

anyway, im rambling on, as i said b4, let me kno if you live anywhere near alton , hampshire cos i really do want to go out with some other bikers, im pretty new to the game, and could do with all the pointers i can get!

I know the feeling! It's weird, I live in Bournemouth and NEVER see any er-6's (naked or faired). weird. Although, having said that, I saw one in Southbourne in Bournemouth today, but I was walking at the time, so couldn't catch him and say, "hey..."

Anyway, I know I'm in Dorset, but let's keep in touch and maybe meet up one day...

i used to go to uni in bournemouth/poole so i sort of kno the area. id be up for a meeting sometime, got a service tommorow (600mile) then the service at 1000. but after that i think im pretty much free any time at the weekend, so let me kno if your up for a ride. :099

You can't be looking hard enough!! I live in Verwood (Dorset) and work in Southampton. I've seen a few random ER's around, both f's and n's but was down at Poole Quay on Tuesday and only saw one other n...

Monkeyseemonkeydo, sorry, wasn't at Poole Quay on Tuesday, I never remember when there's a meet in Poole, is it every Tuesday night through the summer? By the way, thanks for answering the ER mystery on the other thread...

well ive had my service done now and it went through ok which is good! now the engine is run in, i can finally see what she can do! the exhaust sounds a bit different now, not sure why that is but i like it! much more throaty!

as i said before simplydene im pretty much free any weekend so would be up for a ride anytime, just need to get some money now to fill the tank up!

someone else told me about the poole quay meet too. i think they said that it was every tuesday in summer (as you quite rightly said!). i think i will try and get down there one tuesday, so ill let you guys kno when im going, if you want to meet up.

well this is my first bike! and ive been riding for about 2 weeks! i put half an essay in the welcome, forum or which ever one it is!

Hey guys, yeah Poole Bike Night happens every Tuesday from about 6pm until 10pm. Tuesday just gone was quite a biggie because Suzuki had the B-King on display and had a ride out from Crescent in verwood led by Chris Walker and John Reynolds. Was quite impressive- must've been 150 bikes going in at once with a full on Police escort!! Provided the weather's good there's always an excellent turnout, I'd guess around 1000 bikes every week.

I've been riding for around 18 months- had a 125 for about 6 months then did my full bike test just under a year ago and got my ER-6n as my first 'proper' bike. Done 8000 miles on it so far.

Would definitely be up for meeting up sometime, I take it you guys have the f version?

good news peeps! i saw some other er6-f's tonight! (at alton station) 2 others, so 3 including mine, yay! i saw one of the riders, and it was a she, but i didnt get to speak to either one as i couldnt find them when they got off thier bikes. but one was bought from maidstone, and the other from infinity in farnborough i believe. anyway, this is great news for the er6 guys! hopefully they will be there next week and ill get to speak to them and maybe go for a ride! ...Rob

Yeah, mine's an "F", had it since early March, and did my test in February this year. I haven't had much opportunity to go out on my bike this week. Was going to go out today (Saturday), as it started out sunny, but by 10, was pouring down.
