Hi Kwacker
I go every year to the MotoGP, a TAD wet is a bit of understatement it is the worst I have known. Having said that, I thought Rossi was awsome, best wet weather riding I have ever seen.
I did a track day last Wednesday (19 April 2006) rain and track conditions were about the same as the 2005 MotoGP. The track was swimming lots of crashes and lots of delays with red flags, but had a great day and wet track definately focused the mind.
Unfortunately I have already booked for the MotoGP and gone for the uncovered stand on the start finish line as a one off birthday treat. I booked early and got the lot for £72 a bit more expensive but hopefully it will be dryer this year.
Do you support BSB? I go to a number of rounds ( Donington, Cadwell, Croft, Mallory and twice at Oulton) I am going to Oulton on May day (May 1st) if you are interested. Usually one or two others go, but if it is raining I usually end up going on my own ( I ride all winter so weather does not bother me and I certainly do not let it spoil my visits to the race tracks).
I am setting off from the Huddersfield area, if you want to try and meet up either on the way or at the track - drop me an email if you are interested.
I am also hoping to go to the World Superbike round 5 at Silverstone on May 28th
