Excuse me for my lack of knowledge but can anyone tell me if when the side stand is down should the bike start or is there a safety device which should prevent this also if the cush drive was on its way out what symptoms would i feel from the bike. Can anyone help? :991 Davey b.

Cant help with the cush drive rubbers , but my zzr600 will start with the side stand down but will not allow you to pull away until its up.
