Hi - I am replacing the tyres on my J1 ZX6R and was considering changing the front tyre size to a 120/70 instead of the standard 120/65. My local tyre dealer says this wont be a problem and this is the size used in most race series and for track days.

Has anyone fited this size and what ws the result.

I propose using the bike mostly for fast road and track.

Hello Mate. I was thinking about doing the same as it should give a larger contact patch, although I thought the 70 profile might foul the mudguard. If you decide to do it would be interesting to find out what the effect was on the handling.
